The 2027 RoboCup World Championship (RoboCup 2027) will be held in Germany in June: Nuremberg was officially announced as the venue for the world's most prestigious competition for intelligent robotics at the conclusion of RoboCup 2025 in Brazil. Germany is thus bringing the international robotics elite back to its own country for the first time since 2016 in Leipzig. The RoboCup German Open 2025 will take place from the 12th to the 16th of March at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre. The event hosts an International RoboCup Major Competition (March 12-16) and the German RoboCupJunior Final (March 13-16). We are expecting 800 active competition participants and thousands of visitors in the Frankenhalle.

After a four-year break, there will be again a central RoboCup German Open in 2024 with the German RoboCupJunior final together with the international open researcher competition RoboCupMajor. All details can be found on the event website at robocup.de.

In two ZOOM conferences on February 23 and March 3, ERA e.V. and its planned activities were presented to the representatives of the European RoboCup regional committees and received strong interest and support from the participants

In May 2022, the Darmstadt tax office recognized the European RoboCup Association e.V. as a charitable, non-profit organization and exempted it from corporate and trade tax.
